Selsun is a treatment for dandruff and seborrhoeic capitis (a greasy, crusting, itching scalp caused by excess oil). It works in two ways by reducing the greasiness of the scalp which effectively controls itching and scalp dandruff and by slowing down growth of the layer of the skin cells on the scalp that cause dandruff. Directions: Shake well before using. Shampoo and rinse thoroughly. For best results, use regularly, Selsun shampoo should be used to wash the affected areas and left for three to five minutes before rinsing. For dandruff and seborrhoeic dermatitis, the shampoo should be used to wash the hair twice weekly for two to four weeks. Once these conditions have cleared up they can be prevented from coming back by using the shampoo once every one to two weeks. Avoid contact with your eyes.
